Back from Massachusetts

A perfectly lovely time in Massachusetts.
Saw a hunt:

Saw the Essex marshes from Janet & Jim's house:

Saw the ocean:

This is The Barnacle, where I had clam chowder for lunch looking out the window onto Marblehead Harbor.

Mostly saw friends - Katherine H, Dave R, Jim D and Lee from the old job, Georgette's play with the Mugford Street Players, and even Tom, the ex, who was friendly and cordial.

It all makes me wonder what I am doing in Indiana. Maybe I should pack up the cats and move back east.

Cats in Sweaters

Crazy Aunt Purl is having a Cats in Sweaters contest, so I had to enter.
Here is Little Egypt wearing the sweater I made for mom's teddy bear so many years ago.

And here is El Guapo, less than thrilled about being dressed up.

All Quiet on the Home Front

All my actors are gone now and the house is quiet. The cats seem to be somewhat relieved, and I am glad to have a little me time, but it sure was nice having a house full for the Indy Fringe.

I think the festival will be considered a success, and I know the Mugfords and Phil had great preformances, good audiences, and fun.

Raveled at last!

So now I am on Ravelry, but too busy this week to do much about it. Fringe Festival is in full swing, house full of actors (2 Jims, 1 Stephen, 1 Phil, plus lodger April) and it looks like I might have to do some extra volunteer shifts this weekend. But a good time will be had by all.

Sigh.....

So much for my MS3 confidence. Frogged again. Complete restart. I swear this is the last time I re-do Clue #1. I will give in and fudge from here on out. I'm taking the cat philosophy - Most problems can be ignored. The more difficult ones can be slept through.

Tonight is National Night Out and the neighbors will be walking the streets of Cottage Home. I volunteered to have beverages on the porch since it is very hot and muggy, so I need to get some iced tea and lemonade made, and some wine chilled.

Quote du jour

"Happiness is nothing more than a naive phase between two depressions."

I found this quote on this web site, which is one of my favorites:

MS3 Clue 1 almost done!!!

Never thought I would live to see the day! I am within a few row of completing the first clue. I have just about worn out the yarn with all the back and forth on this, but I think I have found my groove now.

Little Egypt likes it, even though she is not allowed to chew on the yarn.

The kids are alright

Two of my kids - Smudge and McGee.

I like this picture, where they are doing the "mirror twin" thing, even to the crook in their tails.

McGee is also known as Troublesome McGee, the cat without social skills. Need something broken? McGee will oblige.

Here is Smudge with little Corkie the Gimp. Corkie has a corkscrew kink in her tail and a slightly deformed front leg, which doesn't slow her down at all. But she is very shy and doesn't ever want to be held. A bit of a neck scratch is all she will generally allow.

This is El Guapo, who is helping me in my pottery studio. He is a wonderful cat, with so much personality. He loves to ride in the car and will gladly go with me to visit my mom in her nursing home.

And this is Little Egypt, pretending to be a Christmas Tree ornament.

MS3 Futility

I am having no luck at all getting through Clue 1. Just when I think I am cruising along, something goes terribly awry.
At least the weather here has been absolutely perfect, so I am comfortable in my misery.
